How I Developed George: The First AI Agent for Creating Business Plans

by | Jan 7, 2025

When RBMG Entrepreneurs—a firm specialized in selling business plans—reached out to me, their entire sales and production process was heavily manual: cumbersome contact forms, repeated follow-up calls, manual data entry, and an inflexible SaaS tool to generate the plans. The result? Long turnaround times and a less-than-optimal customer experience.

My challenge: create George, an AI agent capable of not only streamlining lead acquisition but also producing a complete, customized business plan in just a few minutes, using information gathered directly from the client in real-time.

This innovation was featured in more than 20 French and Belgian newspapers (20 minutes, rtbf, la dépêche…).

Context and Objectives of the AI Agent

To sell and deliver its services, the company relied on:

Consultants stretched thin: their added value was often diluted by repetitive tasks, leading to lost time and efficiency.

A time-consuming sales process: from the first contact to the final document, days could go by with repeated calls and qualification steps.

A traditional SaaS software: not very flexible, requiring manual data entry and technical know-how for each client.

I proposed a solution built around a single goal: total automation, minimizing human intervention while maintaining excellent service quality.

The Idea: George the AI Agent for Financial Analysis & Customer Relationship

George was born from the idea that creating a business plan shouldn’t be a headache—for either the client or the production team. This AI agent:

  • Replaces the contact form with a natural, conversational exchange right on RBMG’s homepage.
  • Automatically asks targeted questions (sector, financial objectives, market expectations…) to collect all necessary data.
  • Checks consistency of answers and requests clarification if needed.
  • Instantly generates a complete, well-structured document: an executive summary, market analysis, financial projections, and more.
  • Delivers the final result to the client within minutes, without any additional human intervention.

Results

In just a few months, George has delivered impressive outcomes:

  • 10x faster: a business plan is now generated in 5 minutes, compared to 45 minutes before.
  • 5x lower costs: automating lead acquisition and reducing manual production efforts slashed operational costs.
  • 50% savings on tools: RBMG no longer needs multiple SaaS platforms or third-party solutions.
  • 0 € for lead qualification: everything happens through the AI agent, without dedicated sales staff.
  • 100% customer satisfaction: instant response time and a coherent document create an immediate “wow” effect.
  • Widespread media coverage: over 20 French and Belgian publications (20 Minutes, RTBF, La Dépêche…) have reported on this innovation.

How I Built George

The steps to develop George the AI agent for financial analysis.
The steps to develop George the AI agent for financial analysis.

1. Understand and Map the Customer Journey

Before coding anything, I spent several days dissecting RBMG’s old process—forms, questionnaires, and software usage. The aim was to pinpoint every bottleneck that stretched the sales cycle, and to grasp exactly how each manual step was handled.

This step is both common and critical in any AI automation project. First, you analyze the company’s context and existing processes, then break them down so they can be translated into an automated system.

2. Structure Key Data and Information Flows

For an AI agent to generate a solid business plan, I identified and prioritized the essential data points—industry sector, business model, cash flow forecasts, etc. Then, I organized the underlying business logic: which elements depend on which? What conditions need to be met before moving to the next step?

I tested my approach manually—without any automation—to see how the AI would handle different scenarios. Only after this research and development phase was the system ready to go live.

3. Custom Technical Development

  • Python scripts: I oversaw the development of scripts to automate data collection and calculations at every step.
  • Integration with a specialized LLM: to generate the text content (written sections, market analysis, strategic notes), all while adhering to RBMG’s methodology.
  • RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) mechanisms: an internal data repository allows the agent to automatically include validated indicators and cross-reference information for accuracy and reliability.
  • Automated delivery and formatting: so the final deliverable is emailed to the client immediately after generation.

Insights and Next Steps

The success of George proves that AI can revolutionize traditionally labor-intensive sectors. By automating the entire value chain, RBMG:

  • Frees up its team of consultants to focus on higher-value tasks (strategic advice, project support).
  • Radically improves the customer experience (zero waiting, zero hassle).
  • Opens doors to new opportunities, like multi-language business plans or quick feasibility diagnostics.

Conclusion

George is a concrete example of a successful digital transformation powered by AI. With it, RBMG Entrepreneurs shifted from a slow, costly process to a rapid, efficient, and truly customer-centric solution.

For any company looking to follow a similar path, a well-integrated, targeted AI solution is more than just an asset—it’s the key to remaining competitive in the future.
